alternative films never before seen in Florida!

1. I Love You
Dir. Valerie Weiss; 2004; 9 min.

While not a lesbian filmmaker, director Valerie Weiss hits on universal relationship themes that speak profoundly to our community. Miro is a high fashion photographer in love with Amanda, his model and muse. Amanda’s grown cold and Miro is convinced she’s found a new lover. But who is it?

2. Clay (A Would Be Ghost Town)
Dir. Sara Mithra; 2005; 3 min.

In this animated short, a Native American woman cultivates a garden in 1880 New Mexico to temper the grief of a lost parent. Might her companion, Emma, unburden her sorrow?

3. A Girl and a Goldfish
Dir. Kelly Sebastian; 2005; 9 min.

After a passionate one night stand, Maggie has found what she was looking for... or at least she thought she has.

4. Open
Dir. Teale Failla; 2005, 12 min. (Produced & written by Sandra Grace & Teale Failla.)

An open relationship turns the lives of three women into a whirlwind of betrayal, bingo, and sex toys. This film is unapologetically explicit, and not for the squeamish! Pay close attention, because it is presented as a “backwards” comedy in nonlinear time!
